How Do I Buy an eBook for my iPAD?

If you have an Apple iPad®, you have two great ways to read every eBook published by Craft & Vision. The first is purchasing the PDF versions of our books, which are not subject to Digital Rights Management and therefore allow you to place them on as many of your own devices as you like, including the iPad. We recommend the iPad App, GOODREADER, but there are several excellent ways to read the PDFs on the iPad. The second option is to download the eBook using the Craft & Vision App from the Apple iTunes App Store. Once you’ve installed this free App on your iPAD device, browse to the eBook title of your choice, and make your In-App purchase. If the iPAD APP graphic is grayed out, or not an active hyperlink, it means that eBook is not currently available in the App Store. The App is updated and a new title is released approximately 5-10 days after the PDF has been made available.

How Come My in-App Purchase Doesn’t Work?

The latest iOS is required (from Apple) so you’ll need to update your iPad and then delete/re-install the C&V app (and then Restoring Purchases via the Information icon) in that order. That will make it work smoothly.

What If I Bought the Wrong Thing?

If you purchased a PDF instead of an App we have some bad news – we can’t switch them for you. We’re not able to send free apps.

Can I Transfer my PDFs into the Free C&V App Store?

Unfortunately, no. Sorry.

Do Discounts or Promotional Offers Apply to the Apple Apps?

We provide discounts and promotional offers on our PDF ebooks only.  The iPhone and iPad apps are sold through iTunes and the Apple App Store and we are not able to provide special pricing on those; sorry.

How Do I Buy a PDF eBook?

To buy an ebook from Craft & Vision, simply select the BUY THE PDF below the eBook cover you wish to download, a purchase window will appear, at that time, you can enter a promotional code (if applicable) and then select Check Out; or select Continue Shopping if you want to purchase multiple eBooks.

How Do I Pay For my PDF eBook?

All PDF ebook sales are priced in US dollars and all sales are sent through PayPal. That means anything PayPal accepts – any currency, any credit card, any bank account, any online payment, that PayPal offers in your region. Sign up for PayPal and you’ll learn about the wide variety of options you have available! In most regions of the world you do not need a PayPal account; however, there are some areas where this is the case.

If you order the iPad app version of the eBook, your purchase transaction will take place through iTunes, the same way it occurs if your purchase music or movies through iTunes.

Can You Give me a Discount After I made a PDF Purchase?

If you’ve made a purchase without a discount code we can’t help you, sorry. Sometimes people forget or didn’t know about a certain promotion, we know that’s a bum deal but that’s just not an issue we can fix. But don’t worry – we provide discounts every time we launch an ebook (1-2 times a month). We announce our special offers to our community through our email newsletter, our Facebook Fan Page, or on Twitter.

How Do I Download and Read my PDF eBook?

PDF: Once you have paid for the ebook at PayPal, a new browser window will appear and a download link for each eBook will be displayed – click the “click here” text to start the download. If you made a purchase with an e-Check or another form of payment that processes slower you will not see this download window. Once your purchase has been processed you will also receive an email with instructions on how to download your PDF file.

APP: If you purchase the PDF version but want to read them on your Apple device we recommend downloading them to your computer first, then using iTunes Sync, copy the file to the Good Reader App or iBooks.

What If I Delete or Lose My eBook?

The short answer is – bummer. The long answer is – send us a quick note and we’ll do what we can to replace your file.

What if I Didn’t Get My Download Link?

You should receive an e-mail within a few minutes of your purchase (usually a few seconds) – your download link will be in that message. However, sometimes, due to reasons beyond our control, that email notification can take up to a few hours – please be patient. If you did not receive that e-mail within 1 calendar day, and it’s not in your junk folder, please contact us. If you believe you may have entered your e-mail address incorrectly then simply send us a message and we’ll get you the file(s). Please include your PayPal Transaction ID with your request (it looks like this: 6DL39561L6146645L). Do NOT send us your Invoice ID, which looks something like this: “1w1zd6s5iojj6q4opwnrt7gayoo4g8sw0ssg4g8″ – it’s not as useful to use for this purpose.

PayPal Issues?

If you receive the following message we’re unable to provide alternate payment methods: “You must either create a PayPal account or use a different credit or debit card to complete this transaction.” We’re really sorry but it’s the way it is. Please note: We’re looking into alternatives (like Google Checkout) but for now… we’re unable to assist you.

I Want to Print my eBook

You can print it if you want to but it’s not designed for print. We do this to ensure a consistent product that is viewable on all sorts of devices; we also want to do our part to save trees.

What is an eBook?

An ebook is simply an electronic document which you can read. Ebooks are PDF files, which can be read by Adobe Acrobat Reader, Mac Preview, FoxIt Reader, or many other types of applications. You probably have read PDF files as you have roamed the web. We have chosen to distribute content using PDF files because it allows us to combine graphics and text in a manner that is easy to read. The files are not editable. You can get free software from Adobe.com to read a PDF file. There are also many other software packages that let you read PDF files with a variety of options. Many of the software packages are free.
