—FAQ—
What to do when trying to install the panel extension and Windows says you don’t have the necessary permissions?
1) try the procedure as explained in the eBook and make sure you’re logged in as an Administrator
2) if that does not work, keep logged in as an Administrator, but now also run the Adobe Extension Manager itself as an administrator.
In order to do this:
3) Close Extension Manager
4) Locate the Extension Manager application (it should be in your Program Files)
5) Right-click on it and choose Run as Administrator from the context-sensitive menu
6) With Extension Manager open, choose File > Install Extension and navigate to the zxp file in your download=
Will it work with Elements?
No, CS5 & CS6 English Versions only.
When trying to install the extension in CS5.x, I get a message that there is a problem with the signature’s extension and the installation does not continue.
This can be due to not having the latest version of Extension Manager installed:
1) Go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
2) Scroll down a little until you see the text about the Extension manager 5.5.3 and 5.0.3 updates and install the one that matches your Photoshop or Creative suite version.
3) Now try to install the extension again.
I’ve been able to install the panel correctly, but when clicking on a button I get a message ‘The command is currently not available’.
This is almost invariably due to not loading the actions into Photoshop’s Actions panel. Remember, you not only have to copy the actions over to the Photoshop Actions folder, but also load them into the Photoshop Actions panel. Please re-read the right column of page 3 of the EasyDodge user manual and have a look at the screenshot on that same page.
I’m getting a message that I do not have the correct version of Extension Manager to install the panel.
Make sure you’re opening EasyDodgeFullCS5.zxp or EasyDodgeLiteCS5.zxp with with Extension Manager CS5 and EasyDodgeFullCS6.zxp or EasyDodgeLiteCS6.zxp with with Extension Manager CS6. Sometimes, if you have both installed, depending on which one is set as the default application, you might get this error. In that case, do not double-click on the extension to install it but right-click, choose Open With from the context menu and choose the matching version of the Extension Manager.
