  1. Great concept and although I’m not a full blown photographer. You photo’s & ebook designs are over the top.

Can’t wait for the ebook on how you design your ebooks is their a software program you have…sell it to me at fair market price

    All the Best

  2. Hello, please excuse my idnorance, but how does the free download work? Do I have to sign up?
(Not that I’d mind paying for the copy, but I’m neither in the US nor do I have paypal, so it might be difficult).

    Thx

  3. Thanks so much for this – I love exploring the fine art aspect of photography and this book is certainly a great source of inspiration and will add a whole new perspective to imagery making. I thank you for offering such great material for free – Happy Holidays :)

  4. Thank you David so much for your generous “treat” of this ebook.

I was so thrilled to finally get an understandable and succinct explanation about using histograms. I have been looking for a good understanding of them for a long time. I never knew about how the curve is broken down into four quadrants and that the furtherest right quarter has the most detail in the image. (That’s hoping I understand it correctly.)

The Half Moon image is an unbeliveable image. It’surreal!

    Thank you so much.

    Janelle

  5. Thank you for the free e-book, so generous of you! I have bought other e-books from Craft & Vision before and they offer great information. Thank you David!!!

  6. I found this to be a good read and well targeted at the beginner to intermediate photographer demographic. I particularly enjoyed the articles covering the photographic journey itself (by Alexandre, Andrew and Stuart). A full review is available on my blog – click my name (above) to access it.

  7. This website is just the best place on the web. What a great concept, and what fantastic ebooks you guys write. Thank you so much for doing what you do. I wish the best for David and the C&V staff!

  8. OK just downloaded it with no problems, download server was blocked for awhile this afternoon, but no probl;em now, just scanning through it, looks great, awesome images!

  9. Yup it’s back on view for download. Even a quick view says AWESOME!! Well worth the wait.. Thanks guys for another superb e-book!

  10. GREAT eBook. I mean seriously. These guys/girls have saved one of their best, and are giving it away!

I know there are some server issues at the moment, but I urge everyone to stay patient and come back to get it later. As many people have said here – it’s worth the wait. I even posted a review on the thing!

Thanks Craft & Vision – you rock!

Thanks Nicole for posting on twitter. I’m about to board for a cross country flight. Now, I have a a great PDF to read.

  12. Well, the start of this new eBook was a total flop because of the not working download, all the more I hope people will come back and try it again. The book is worth it. It is inspiring and helpful whether you are an absolute beginner or an expert and has many great photos in it.

  13. It’s unfortunate that there is a download issue, although I’m sure it will be resolved soon. When you do get a chance to download it you will find it to be an enjoyable and diverse read. Each chapter reads like a “Coles Notes” for each subject.
I also did a mini-review on my blog, for what it’s worth. Enjoy the book when it is available!!

  14. Again, an interesting book, that goes exploring paths away from the usual stuff, giving photographers a fresh “restart” that makes them move from the computer… to try those suggestions. If you need some more info, in Portuguese, about Craft & Vision eBooks, check my website.

  15. Thank You David and Craft & Vision. This was an incredible book. To be honest I can’t believe that its free because I would have happily paid for it given the valuable content. There is a mini review on my site (you can just click my name) but really this is a no-brainer. Download the book.

  16. This is an excellent eBook even if it was $20. The insights are wonderfully illustrated by high-quality and relevant images and the reader can really get ‘in the heads’ of these talented photographers.

Highly recommended and fits the readers of my photography site very well (click my name above to access David’s Simple Photography).

  17. I found this to be a great read. Like most of the Craft & Vision series it focuses on the artistic and inspiration side of photography rather than the gear, so it applies to photographers of all skill levels and with varying types of equipment.

I reviewed an advance copy, those interested in my thoughts can hit the link on my name on this comment for my take on the book.
