Reviews and Comments
  1. I’d love to buy this book. Could you make it available through Amazon, for their Kindle? Would anyone else like it for the Kindle? I don’t have a kindle, but I’d read it using the Kindle reader on my laptop. Thanks!

  2. If one really has learned his lessons he doesn’t have to think about it anymore. But Andrew S. Gibson furthermore is still able to explain the rule of thirds and when to break it.
If one likes to read a short post about The Golden Rule and this eBook including a Photoshop action to overlay a grid of The Golden Rule and The Golden Spiral, then visit my new blog:

  3. The author starts by saying “I tend to operate on instinct and compose photos without thinking too much about it”. Well don’t write a book about composition. Because I want to learn about the subject from someone who has been thinking about composition and practicing so I get tips that are relevant.
He then went on saying that he read a lot about it. Is that all you need to write an ebook these days? Research.
Feel a little cheated so far.

  4. This eBook does a great job of covering many aspects of composition, some new and some familiar. I had hoped for more creative exercises so I could recommend this to my students as a self driven creative tool.

  5. Folks as usual Craft & Vision has given us another great read at an exceptional value. Rules are made to be broken and in Andrew S. Gibson’s latest ebook he gives you permission to do just that. Beyond Thirds – is an easy read with practical information and tips on how to get the most out of your images.

  6. If you expect to learn about composition rules other then ubiquitous “rule of thirds”- “Beyond thirds” is probably not for you. But if you sometimes wonder about guiding the eye through the image and what is visual balance and how to compose with that in mind, intuitively- it might just be the right e-book for you. And it all for just $5.

  7. Sam – We used to use page-counts to market the content, but when we switched to spreads instead of pages, we decided not to. We pride ourselves on great content, whether that’s 30 spreads or 100. In this case it’s something like 34 spreads, the equivalent of 68 pages the way we used to do things. While we call these eBooks, the reality is they’re more like topical magazines.

Rajaram – The book was just released. There will be plenty of reviews within the coming days.

Thanks for the interest, folks. Sorry we’ve not given you all the info you need.
